This historic scene captures a Cathay Pacific Airways Boeing 747-267B jumbo jet airliner, registration VR-HIB, during its landing approach at Kai Tak Airport in Hong Kong. Photographed by Adrian M. Balch, the aircraft is shown with its landing gear deployed against a mountainous backdrop. It beautifully preserves the classic green and white livery featuring the Union Jack flag on the tail fin.
