This dramatic topographical postcard features a clear real photographic view of Criccieth Castle as seen from the north-east viewpoint. The composition highlights the extensive stone ruins and inner gatehouse towers rising sharply on the rocky headland cliff directly above the coastal shoreline. The historic perspective documents the structural scale of this native fortress under the care of His Majesty's Office of Works.
