This pleasing photographic postcard displays the impressive brick exterior of Jarrow Hall, a historic late Georgian building surrounded by mature trees and a gravel driveway. Having served as a grand local residence prior to the First World War, the property was beautifully restored to house the renowned Bede Monastery Museum. The image provides an excellent record of northern heritage tourism development, Anglo-Saxon academic preservation, and regional architectural conservation.
