Cornwall Postcard: St. Ives, The Digey Cobbled Street, Real Photo XT1997.

The Digey is one of the most historic and photographed narrow lanes in the Downalong area of St. Ives, traditionally home to the town's fishing community. The name is thought to originate from the Cornish "dye-chy," referring to the buildings where boat sails were once treated with cutch dye. This real photo view captures the street's characteristic granite cottages and external stone staircases that lead to first-floor dwellings.

This is a postally used standard size postcard published by E. T. W. Dennis & Sons, Ltd., London & Scarborough and manufactured in the United Kingdom. The postcard has some surface creasing.

Please also use the image magnifier to make your own assessment on the condition. Please ignore any lines caused by the scanner.

When possible all of our postcards will be posted to you inside a collectable plastic postcard sleeve and a board backed envelope which will be marked 'Please do not bend'.

Any 'Mo's Postcards' watermark does not appear on the actual postcard'.
