County Durham Postcard: Washington Old Hall South Front 1970’s XT4558

This pleasing photographic postcard captures a daytime view of the historic stone facade and formal garden steps of the South Front of Washington Old Hall. Built from local sandstone and featuring prominent stone bird sculptures on the terrace wall, this manor house is celebrated as the ancestral home of George Washington's family.
