Kern Knotts Crack is historically significant as one of the most famous early technical routes in British rock climbing. It was first climbed in 1897 by Owen Glynne Jones, a pioneer of the sport who described the ascent in his landmark book, Rock-Climbing in the English Lake District.
This is an unused non standard size postcard. The publisher is G. P. Abraham and the country of manufacture is the United Kingdom. This postcard measures 138 mm x 85 mm. The postcard has very slight surface wear.
