This topographical real photograph postcard features a spectacular, high-angle aerial view looking over The Headland Hotel in Torquay, Devon. Originally constructed as the grand Italianate villa "Villa Syracusa" for the Russian imperial Romanoff family, the cliff-top mansion is depicted with its manicured lawns and garden pathways terraced directly above the rugged limestone sea caves of the English Riviera.
This is a continental size postcard which was published by Aerofilms & Aero Pictorial Ltd. (Boreham Wood, Herts). The postcard was made in England. This is an unused postcard.
This postcard has very slight rubbing to the bottom left hand corner tip.
