Dorset Postcard: The Stream at Upwey, near Weymouth, Wishing Well 1900's XT2090.

Upwey is a picturesque village in Dorset located at the head of the River Wey, famous for its historic "Wishing Well" which became a major tourist attraction during the Victorian and Edwardian eras. The well is a natural spring where visitors would traditionally drink the water from a glass and throw the remains over their left shoulder while making a wish. This scenic view along the stream shows the tranquil rural character that has made the village a popular destination for walkers and sightseers traveling from nearby Weymouth for over a century.

This is a used standard size postcard published by J. Welch & Sons and manufactured in Great Britain. The postcard has slight surface wear.
