This historic real photographic view showcases the ancient interior of St Martin's-on-the-Wall Church in Wareham, Dorset. The composition looks through the crude, rugged Saxon stone chancel arch toward the altar table and a large diamond-leaded window beyond. Dating back to the early 11th century, this remarkable building is renowned as the most complete surviving Anglo-Saxon church in Dorset.
