This historic coastal view depicts the coastal road at El Mex, a western neighborhood of Alexandria, featuring a tall maritime semaphore signalling tower. Local residents and visitors, dressed in both traditional attire and period Western clothing, stroll along the seaside thoroughfare adjacent to the Mediterranean shoreline. The scene captures a fascinating look at the maritime communication infrastructure and daily life in Egypt during the early twentieth century.

This is a standard size postcard which was published by B. Livadas & Coutsicos - Cairo, Series 75. The postcard was made in Egypt. This is an unused postcard.
