Embossed Greetings Postcard - Friendship, Blue Forget-Me-Nots Flowers XT1314
This postcard is a vintage Victorian or Edwardian-era greeting postcard, likely produced between 1900 and 1915 during the "Golden Age" of postcards.
The central motif is a bouquet of blue forget-me-nots tied with a ribbon. In the "Language of Flowers," which was a popular Victorian social code, forget-me-nots were the "Emblem of True Love" and represented remembrance.
The Motto: The card features a sentimental proverb: "Old Tunes are sweetest, Old Friends are surest." This focus on the enduring nature of friendship was a very common theme for correspondence during this period.
Publisher: Adolph Otto
