Essex Postcard: Colchester Castle Park War Memorial Car 1960's XT5070

This historic monochrome view features the prominent bronze angel sculpture of the Colchester War Memorial standing outside the gates of Castle Park. The massive stone keep of the historic Norman Colchester Castle provides an imposing backdrop, while a classic 1950s or 1960s saloon motor car drives past the front chain link posts. The scene offers a wonderful post-war glimpse at this ancient Roman and medieval heritage site.
