This vibrant historical illustration depicts the entrance to Ballymaclinton, a replica Irish village constructed for the 1908 Franco-British Exhibition at Shepherd's Bush. The imposing castle-style gateway features the village name flanked by flying banners, with a soaring Irish round tower and whitewashed cottages visible beyond the gate. It provides an excellent documentary record of the extensive cultural showcases and temporary themed pavilions created for the grand Edwardian international exposition.

This is a standard size postcard which was published by Valentine & Sons Ltd. Dundee, London & New York, Official Franco-British Exhibition Valentine's Series. The postcard was made in the United Kingdom. This is an unused postcard.
