This artistic subject card illustrates an elderly fisherman carefully mending nets alongside an upturned boat hull, accompanied by a traditional maritime poem. The striking image evokes the rugged, enduring spirit of coastal fishing communities and early twentieth-century working-class traditions. The poignant lyrical verse celebrates a lifetime spent working on the sea and the support shared across generations.
