This early twentieth-century card features a vibrant study of red ranunculus blossoms, scientifically labeled on the reverse as Ranunculus Asiaticus. Painted by the artist Barde, the illustration captures the densely layered, paper-thin petals that made these flowers highly prized in classic European gardens. The print demonstrates the high-quality lithographic techniques employed by Parisian stationery publishers during the golden age of postcards.
