This Edwardian-era botanical postcard showcases a prominent deep red rose blossom lying alongside a smaller bud and green foliage, painted by the artist Barde. Scientifically labeled on the reverse simply as Rosa, red roses traditionally symbolized romantic love, passion, and deep respect during the golden age of postcards. The card features multi-language identification at the base, reflecting the widespread European market for Parisian floral lithographs in the early twentieth century.
This is a standard size postcard which was published by Color Paris series 520. The postcard was made in France. This is an unused postcard, circa 1910s.
