This historic postcard features the front exterior view of the house of celebrated French painter Jean-François Millet in Barbizon near Fontainebleau. The monochrome photograph showcases the traditional stone structure, shuttered windows, and surrounding roadway walls of the property. This location served as a vital home and studio workshop during the mid-nineteenth century for the foundational Barbizon School of landscape artists.

This is a standard size postcard which was published by A. Douhin. The postcard was made in France. This is a partially used postcard.
