This early 1900s monochrome postcard showcases the bustling interior of the historic Source Chomel pavilion hall within the thermal spa resort town of Vichy, France. The highly detailed composition features local visitors in period Edwardian attire gathered around the central ornate stone fountain basin, framed by a decorative wrought-iron pavilion structure and arched windows. A green French postage stamp is applied directly to the front view with a clear circular Allier postmark, complemented by handwritten correspondence on the reverse side.
The postcard was published by Béguin, St-Gérand-le-Puy (Allier) as part of the Ideal series (No. 370) and was made in France.
This postcard has a curved crease at the bottom edge.
