This historic topographical postcard displays a fine real photographic view of the majestic stone ruins of Oystermouth Castle at The Mumbles. The composition highlights the extensive ivy-covered medieval walls and grand arched gateway structure standing prominently on a high grassy knoll overlooking Swansea Bay. Founded originally in the early 12th century by the Norman Marcher Lords, this fortress retains beautiful architectural elements from its long history.
