This real photo postcard offers a detailed aerial view of the famous Model Village at Bourton-on-the-Water, which was opened in 1937 and is a one-ninth scale replica of the actual village. It was constructed by local craftsmen using authentic Cotswold stone to perfectly mirror the village's buildings, including the river, bridges, and even a miniature model of the model village itself. The site is a unique Grade II listed landmark and remains one of the most popular tourist attractions in the heart of the Cotswolds.
