This historic topographical postcard displays a fine real photographic view of Thornbury Castle showcasing its striking Tudor architecture. The composition features the iconic octagonal corner tower, the defensive stone ranges, and the central gatehouse positioned behind an expansive, pristine green lawn layout. Construction on this grand country residence was originally begun in 1511 by Edward Stafford, the 3rd Duke of Buckingham.
