Greeting Postcard: A Happy Birthday Be Yours Five Little Friends Kittens XT3621

This Edwardian-era birthday greeting features a real photographic sepia portrait of five fluffy, long-haired kittens gathered together by an open book, with hand-painted pink flowers accenting the background. The card incorporates silver typography reading "A happy Birthday be yours" along with a playful rhyming verse introducing the "five little friends so true" who join in wishing many happy returns. The reverse side features a King George V halfpenny green stamp cancelled by a clear postmark from Chichester dated August 7th, 1914.

This is a standard size postcard which was published by an unknown publisher trade mark series H. 2039/6. The postcard was made in Germany.

This postcard has slight surface wear.
