Greeting Postcard: A Happy Birthday Kittens Basket Roses Verse 1913 XT3619

This Edwardian-era birthday card features a central vignette of three small kittens peeking out from a woven wicker basket. The portrait panel is embellished with an embossed floral border of pink roses, white heather, and trailing green leaves, alongside a gilt decorative "A Happy Birthday" heading. The base incorporates a sentimental four-line poem asking the recipient for a single thought amidst their happy hours. The reverse side features a King Edward VII halfpenny green stamp cancelled by a clear postmark from Chichester dated August 6th, 1913.

This is a standard size postcard which was published by an unknown publisher series 5085. The postcard was made in Germany.
