Greeting Postcard: Birthday Greetings Yellow Rose Old Friends Verse 1913 XT3617

This Edwardian-era greeting features an embossed large yellow rose blossom with thorny stems, surrounded by a gilt decorative frame inset with small purple accent flowers. The card incorporates an elegant poetic verse about remaining loyal to old friends despite new acquaintances, printed with stylized initial capitals. The reverse side features a King Edward VII halfpenny green stamp cancelled by a clear postmark from Chichester.

This is a standard size embossed postcard which was published by an unknown publisher trade mark series 2170. The postcard was made in Germany.
