Greetings Postcard: Neglecting Business Verse Robert H Lord Cottage Art XT3400.

This early 20th-century colour lithograph greeting postcard features a lighthearted poem titled "Neglecting Business" by the artist Robert H. Lord. The text reads: "The world would indeed be a dreary old place If nothing but business were in it, So to say "How-dy-do" On this postcard to you I'm neglecting my business this minute." The verse is enclosed in a stylized Arts and Crafts frame topped with a quaint red-roofed cottage illustration, flanked by briar rose pillar corners. The reverse side contains a handwritten Easter greeting.

The postcard was published by A. M. Davis & Co. Quality Cards (London) as part of the "A Davis Message Post Card" series and was printed in England.

Please also use the image magnifier to make your own assessment on the condition. Please ignore any lines caused by the scanner.
