This Edwardian view captures Lumley Mill, a historic water-powered corn mill located near Emsworth on the Hampshire and Sussex border. Originally dating back to the eighteenth century, the substantial structure with its characteristic tiled roofline sat along the River Ems before devastating fires in the twentieth century severely altered the site. This picturesque scene shows the quiet rural road and mill pond that defined the local industrial landscape of the era.

This is a standard size postcard which was published by The Wrench Series No. 14608. The postcard was made in Germany. This is an unused postcard, circa 1905.

This postcard has slight surface wear.
