Description: An art postcard featuring the portrait of Henry Bishop (1611–1691) with his dog, from the collection at Parham Park, West Sussex. Bishop is a key figure in postal history, having been appointed Postmaster General in 1661 and inventing the "Bishop Mark," the first postmark used on mail. This card was issued for the "Stamp World London 90" exhibition.


Type: Original Standard Size Printed Postcard.

Date: Unused postcard (Produced for the 1990 Stamp World London exhibition).

Condition: Slight wear to the top right hand corner tip.
