Hertfordshire Postcard: Ware Park Sanatorium, Rural Hospital Scene XT1986
Ware Park has a long history dating back to the Domesday Book, having been home to several prominent feudal families before the 19th-century mansion seen here was built. In June 1920, the local council purchased the estate and its 112 acres for use as a tuberculosis sanatorium, initially designed to house 132 patients.
This is an unused standard size postcard. The publisher is A.A.Pickering / The R.A.P.Co Ltd. and the country of manufacture is the United Kingdom. The postcard has a light curved crease at the bottom edge.
Please also use the image magnifier to make your own assessment on the condition. Please ignore any lines caused by the scanner.
When possible all of our postcards will be posted to you inside a collectable plastic postcard sleeve and a board backed envelope which will be marked 'Please do not bend'.
Any 'Mo's Postcards' watermark does not appear on the actual postcard'.
