This captivating ethnic photograph shows a Hakka peasant woman wearing a traditional fringed flat hat while steering a water buffalo through a muddy paddy field. The scene captures the vanishing agricultural way of life in the rural New Territories, depicting old-style subsistence farming methods before the rapid post-war urban expansion transformed the region.

This is a non standard size postcard which was published by G.P.O. Box 6514 (series number 108). The postcard was made in Hong Kong. This is an unused postcard which measures 150mm x 99mm.

Please also use the image magnifier to make your own assessment on the condition. Please ignore any lines caused by the scanner.

When possible all of our postcards will be posted to you inside a collectable plastic postcard sleeve and a board backed envelope which will be marked 'Please do not bend'.
