There are several such sites in the city, including the Inasa, Oura, and Sakamoto international cemeteries. These grounds are the final resting places for many Westerners—including merchants, sailors, and missionaries—who lived in Nagasaki’s foreign settlement during the Meiji and Taisho eras.
