This sepia-toned topographical view showcases a striking historical perspective of Dover Castle in Kent, famously known as the "Key to England". The high-angle photograph captures the imposing medieval fortress complex dominating the crest of the hill, with the massive stone keep visible on the left and the complex curtain walls extending toward the Constable's Gatehouse on the right. An asphalt access road winds up the steep, grassy slope in the foreground, providing an exceptional photographic record of this iconic British fortification during the interwar period.

This is a standard size postcard which was published by Valentine & Sons, Ltd., Dundee and London (Series code H.7057). The postcard was made in Great Britain. This is an unused postcard.
