This historic view captures the exterior of 62 Rodney Street in Liverpool, renowned as the birthplace of the long-serving Victorian Prime Minister William Ewart Gladstone. The Georgian terraced building features ivy climbing around the ground-floor windows, which display signs for A. E. Tomkinson, a local cabinet maker and upholsterer who later occupied the premises.
