Lancashire Postcard: Preston, Old Tram Bridge and Avenham Tower XT2070.
This view shows the historic wooden Tram Bridge over the River Ribble, originally built in 1802 to carry "trams" between the Leeds and Liverpool Canal and the Lancaster Canal. The landmark Avenham Tower can be seen on the hill in the background, a notable Victorian mansion that overlooks the scenic Avenham Park. This structure served as a vital cross-river link for over two centuries before its eventual closure and planned replacement in the 21st century.
This is an unused standard size postcard published by Hartmann and manufactured in Germany.
Please also use the image magnifier to make your own assessment on the condition. Please ignore any lines caused by the scanner.
When possible all of our postcards will be posted to you inside a collectable plastic postcard sleeve and a board backed envelope which will be marked 'Please do not bend'.
Any 'Mo's Postcards' watermark does not appear on the actual postcard'.
