This colour topographical view captures a beautiful sunny perspective looking along the historic curtain wall of Lincoln Castle in Lincolnshire. The photograph follows the winding medieval stone defensive ramparts leading up toward the iconic Observatory Tower rising at the crest of the hill. Framed by mature green trees, the grounds below reveal parts of the old brick Georgian buildings, providing a wonderful visual record of this ancient Norman stronghold and landmark heritage site.

This is a standard size postcard which was published by J. Salmon Ltd., Sevenoaks, Kent, England (Series code 1-00-00-81). The postcard was made in England. This is an unused postcard.
