The Cumberland Hotel, situated at the corner of Oxford Street and Great Cumberland Place, was opened on December 12, 1933, by J. Lyons & Co. At its launch, it was one of the largest and most modern hotels in Europe, boasting 1,000 bedrooms. Designed by architect F. J. Wills, its Art Deco interiors were a sensation, hosting royalty like King George V and Queen Mary.
This is an unused standard size postcard. The publisher is Bridge House and the country of manufacture is the United Kingdom. This postcard measures 140 mm x 89 mm. The postcard has very very slight surface wear.
