Military Postcard: Awards for Gallantry (Flying services) DFC, AFC and Conspicuous Gallantry Medal. 1970's
This informative military postcard was printed by Sackville Press (Billericay) Limited for the Imperial War Museum and measures approximately 148 mm x 105 mm. It is an unused card that provides a clear and detailed visual guide to prestigious honors for the flying services.
The front of the postcard features five significant decorations set against a textured khaki-green background. According to the descriptive text on the back, the top row, from left to right, shows the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Air Force Cross. In the centre is the Conspicuous Gallantry Medal (Flying). The bottom row, from left to right, features the Distinguished Flying Medal and the Air Force Medal. The reverse side identifies the subject as Awards for Gallantry (Flying services).
