This vibrant military illustration by artist Douglas Anderson portrays a regimental drummer of the 78th (Later 72nd) Highlanders from 1778. The musician is dressed in a yellow uniform jacket with tartan cuffs, a patterned kilt, and a feathered bonnet, holding his drum sticks over an ornate side drum. The card offers a marvelous historical look at the distinctive uniforms and musical traditions of early Scottish highland regiments.
