This historic art postcard features a stylized illustration by artist M. C. Whichalow, titled "England of Old - 1700". The colourful scene depicts a commanding military officer in full armor and a powdered wig raising his sword, leading a line of infantrymen clad in traditional red coats and tricorn hats carrying muskets. Published as part of Raphael Tuck's celebrated "Oilette" range, this card reflects the early Edwardian popular interest in romanticised historical military uniforms and national heritage.
This is a standard size postcard which was published by Raphael Tuck & Sons "Oilette" (Regd. Postcard 6462). The postcard was made in Germany. This is an unused postcard
