Military Postcard: Form Square Royal Navy Sailors Training Drill XT3588

This early twentieth-century card depicts a large contingent of Royal Navy sailors executing a defensive "Form Square" military drill on an open training ground. The photograph, captured by G. West & Son, likely illustrates naval maneuvers near a major coastal garrison or hill fort site such as Portsmouth or Portsdown. This dramatic tactical formation demonstrates the rigorous field training and parade ground discipline required of British naval personnel during the Edwardian period.

This is a non standard size postcard which was published by The Wrench Series No. 2344, Photo West. The postcard was made in Germany and measures 140mm x 94mm. This is an unused postcard, circa 1905.
