This historic art postcard features a detailed military painting by David Rowlands depicting a Royal Corps of Signals NCO during the North West Frontier campaign in India circa 1930. The colour illustration shows the soldier standing in desert khaki uniform with a pith helmet and ammunition bandolier, operating a 5-inch heliograph tripod communication system. In the background, the remote stone outposts of Alexander Piquet rise above the rugged, mountainous horizon.

This is a continental size postcard which was published by Picton Print. The postcard was made in the United Kingdom. This is an unused postcard.

This postcard has a slight crease to the top left hand corner.
