Military Postcard: Royal Green Jackets British Army Eric Stemp PHQ Cover XT5187

This historic stamp postcard features a detailed military illustration by Eric Stemp depicting soldiers of The Royal Green Jackets regiment. The colour artwork showcases riflemen dressed in their traditional green uniforms and shako hats, reflecting the Napoleonic era attire of the famed 95th Rifles. One soldier is depicted standing while loading a Baker rifle, while the second rifleman takes a kneeling firing position. The reverse features an official military town postmark handstamp cancel with a matching 26p stamp affixed.

This is a continental size postcard which was published by Post Office Picture Card Series (PHQ 68(c) 7/83) and printed by The House of Questa, London. The postcard was made in England. This postcard was posted in 1983.

The postcard features a First Day of Issue special handstamp cancel from Aldershot dated 6 July 1983, with a matching 26p Royal Green Jackets stamp affixed to the reverse side.
