Military Postcard: The Duxford Crest "We sweep the sky" Imperial War Museum. 1980's
This military heritage postcard was published by the Imperial War Museum and printed by Gavin Martin Limited, London. The postcard measures 148 mm x 105 mm and is in unused condition.
The front of the postcard features the official heraldic crest of RAF Duxford, which depicts a winged knight in black armor mounted on a white charging horse. The crest is encircled by a light blue border reading "Royal Air Force Station Duxford" and is surmounted by a royal crown. Below the image is a scroll containing the motto "Verrimus Caelum." The descriptive text on the back of the card reads: "The Duxford Crest: 'We sweep the sky' Imperial War Museum, Duxford Airfield.
