Oxfordshire Postcard: High Street, Oxford. University College Scene XT1817


This early 20th-century color lithograph postcard features a bustling scene on the High Street in Oxford. To the left, the impressive gothic facade of University College dominates the view, while the spire of St. Mary's Church rises in the background. The image captures a lively street with historic horse-drawn carriages and pedestrians, typical of the pre-WW1 era. On the far left, the coat of arms for Oxford is prominently displayed within an ornate decorative border.
