Oxfordshire Postcard: The Globe Room, Reindeer Inn Courtyard, Banbury XT1818

This postcard depicts the courtyard and exterior of the famous Globe Room at the Reindeer Inn (also known as Ye Olde Reine Deer Inn) on Parsons Street in Banbury, Oxfordshire. The building dates back to the 16th century, with the wood-paneled Globe Room added in 1637. Historically, the room is noted for its association with Oliver Cromwell, who is said to have used it as a courtroom and planning base during the English Civil War.
