This Edwardian portrait depicts Arthur James Balfour, who served as the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1902 to 1905. Produced by the prominent Rotary Photographic Company, this sharp studio portrait showcases the statesman holding a document in his characteristic dignified pose. Balfour was a central political figure of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, later serving as Foreign Secretary and authoring the historic 1917 Balfour Declaration.

This is a standard size postcard which was published by Rotary Photographic Series No 52 B. The postcard was made in England. This is an unused postcard, circa 1905.

This postcard has very slight wear at the left hand edge.
