Scotland Postcard: Dalwhinnie Hamlet and Mountains, Inverness-shire XT1961

Dalwhinnie, whose name translates from Scottish Gaelic as "meeting place," has a long history as a vital junction for cattle drovers and travelers. By the early 1930s, the village remained a tranquil outpost, largely untouched by modern conveniences like electricity or telephones. It is most famous for housing the Dalwhinnie Distillery, which was established in 1897.

This is an unused standard size postcard. The publisher is J.B. White, Ltd. Dundee and the country of manufacture is the United Kingdom.
