This sepia-toned photographic view showcases the magnificent profile of the paddle steamer Royal Eagle cruising through open waters. Built by Cammell Laird & Co. in 1932 for the General Steam Navigation Co. Ltd., this luxury pleasure steamer was a staple of Thames excursion travel, measuring 290 feet long and carrying up to 1,987 passengers. The image beautifully captures her distinctive paddle boxes, single funnel, and expansive passenger decks, offering maritime enthusiasts a superb historical record of pre-war British coastal cruising heritage.

This is a standard size postcard which was published by The General Steam Navigation Co., Ltd. (Eagle Steamers Series 4). The postcard was made in the United Kingdom. This is a partially used postcard.

Please also use the image magnifier to make your own assessment on the condition. Please ignore any lines caused by the scanner.
