Shipping Postcard: New Zealand Shipping Company Ruahine Panama Canal Culebra Cut 1960s.
This vibrant colour view captures the passenger liner MV Ruahine of the New Zealand Shipping Company navigating through the narrow waters of the Panama Canal. The high-angle photograph shows the large black-hulled tourist ship with its distinctive red and black funnel emitting smoke as it passes through the famous Culebra Cut (Gaillard Cut), flanked by steep, lush green hillsides. It provides a magnificent historical record of mid-twentieth-century maritime transit, intercontinental travel routes, and classic international shipping fleet operations.
This is a non standard size postcard which was published by Mike Roberts Color Production, Berkeley, California for Foto Flatau, Panama. The postcard was made in the United States. This is an unused postcard which measures 139mm x 88mm.
Please also use the image magnifier to make your own assessment on the condition. Please ignore any lines caused by the scanner.
