This historic maritime view captures the impressive profile of the RMS Alaunia as she navigates past a rugged, fortified coastal promontory with local tugs nearby. The lithographic illustration showcases the passenger ship's classic black hull, white superstructure, and prominent red-and-black Cunard funnel. Completed in 1925, this 14,030-ton A-class ocean liner primarily served the regular transatlantic route between London, Southampton, and Canada before being requisitioned as an armed merchant cruiser during the Second World War.

This is a standard size postcard which was published by Cunard Line Agency / Thos. Cook & Son, Ltd., Cumberland Hotel, Marble Arch, London. The postcard was made in England. This is an unused postcard.

Please also use the image magnifier to make your own assessment on the condition. Please ignore any lines caused by the scanner.

When possible all of our postcards will be posted to you inside a collectable plastic postcard sleeve and a board backed envelope which will be marked 'Please do not bend'.
