Somerset Postcard: Aerial View Wells Cathedral Bishop’s Palace and Moat XT1899.

This vintage topographical postcard, a Dickinson Robinson Group Product published by J. Arthur Dixon, captures a stunning aerial perspective of the historic city of Wells in Somerset. The card measures 148 mm x 105 mm and is in unused condition, dating from approximately the 1970s.

The front of the postcard features a vibrant color photograph showing a sweeping view of Wells Cathedral, the fortified Bishop's Palace, and its tranquil, water-filled moat. The back of the card provides detailed descriptive text, identifying the scene as an "Aerial View of Wells Cathedral, Bishop’s Palace and Moat." It further notes that the image is "From a colour photograph owned by Wellspring Bookshop." The reverse also carries the reference code "L6/SP. 4284," the "DRG" logo, and is marked "Printed in Great Britain by J. ARTHUR DIXON." This clean, unposted card offers a wonderful archival look at one of England's most famous ecclesiastical sites.

Please also use the image magnifier to make your own assessment on the condition. Please ignore any lines caused by the scanner.

When possible all of our postcards will be posted to you inside a collectable plastic postcard sleeve and a board backed envelope which will be marked 'Please do not bend'.

Any 'Mo's Postcards' watermark does not appear on the actual postcard'.
